My Little SideKick!

The boys are back in school and they are really enjoying it so far, we will see if it sticks or the newness will wear off soon. Sadie is my SideKick and she is truly a joy to have at home with me right now. Yesterday, she said, Mom are you ready for lunch? I said, almost from the other room. I came into the kitchen and she had the chips and salsa and turkey and bread out on the cupboard and told me she was getting the lunch ready for us. She even had pulled the barstool out for me to sit right next to her. So cute! While we were eating she looked at me and said, " MOM you are my BEST FRIEND!" Oh I hope she doesn't grow up to fast to soon. We are having a fun time together and really enjoying each others companionship!

DOES THIS SMILE MELT YOUR HEART OR WHAT?

Roughing it OUTDOORS!

We were able to get one last big CAMPING trip in before the kids start school next week.
We decided to go down to the Boulder Mountains for a few days. It was a long treck to get there but well worth it once we arrived. The pictures donot do this place justice. It is simply breathtaking and beautiful everywhere you look. There are little hidden lakes all over and in most cases our little family was the only ones at the lake. We were able to try out Scott's new toy! The Ranger, it was so fun to drive and the kids would sit in the back and giggle as we went from lake to lake.

Scott attempted to teach the boys and myself to fly fish. He stayed extremely patient for the most part and we even managed to catch a few fish. We were able to take a few back to camp and Scott cooked them up and I think I was the only one that partook. We will be doing the Catch and Release thing from now on.

We picked wild flowers, made pine cone people and drove the Ranger to keep us busy while we were not fishing.

It was super cold and I was not totally prepared, but we managed to survive and we had a great time and made some really fun memories.

Timpanogas Cave

Mitchell has been wanting to go to Timpanogas Cave since we have moved back. Grandma Sampson and Mitchells 2 Aunts and 2 cousins were able to go with us. It was a great time. I was glad we started the hike early. I forgot how towards the end of the hike it seems to get steeper with age. We all made it up GREAT and the caves inside were amazing. It was a fun time and a great memory.

PAINTED PIGGIES!

Sadie has been asking me to paint her toenails. Well she took matters into her own hands and finally did it herself. It was her first attempt by herself. This is the outcome, not bad, not good, but she was happy and very PROUD!

Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons, need I say more

We were able to go up to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons for the weekend with a few a Scott's family members. We had a wonderful time. The Grand Tetons are simply beautiful. Yellowstone was full of animals and the boys were even able to get a little fly fishing in. We were able to see Old Faithful erupt. The adults thought is was wonderful and the kids thought it was a very, very ,very, long wait for what it was. Someday they might appreciate nature. We had a super fun time and most of all just enjoyed the company, and we didn't get eaten by BEARS, so that was a big plus. While camping there were so many signs and warnings, we were all very nervous and we had to be on bear alert at all times, if a kid dropped even the tiniest morsel of food we would have to pick it up and put it in the the bear proof can. A little nerve racking but we survived.

WE LOVE YOU SADIE BUG!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY!

"MY" big surprise!

12 years and counting! Scott and I just celebrated our 12th year anniversary. He had it all planned, but he didn't let me in on the secret. I kept asking him what are we doing for our anniversary? should I get a babysitter? should we go to dinner or stay the night somewhere? He was playing it cool and just kept brushing me off. Well, finally 2 days before My big surprise he gave me a poem! YES, Scott wrote me a poem and it said he had a 4 day trip planned and the babysitters were taken care of! I was SHOCKED to say the least. I packed not knowing where he was taking me or the kids.

We got up and we took the kids to grandpa's and grandma's and we drove to the airport! I did not know where we were going, until the curbside checkin said, 2 roundtrip tickets to NEW YORK! I really was stunned!

We had such a wonderful time. We were able to see everything we wanted and had a ton a fun just being together!

The statue of Liberty was amazing up close, The amount of people that were in New York was overwhelming and the lights and the sky scrapers were unbelievable! New York was truly amazing. Our hotel was right in Time Square so it was a party going on all night long.
Scott and I have had a wonderful past 12 years. Sometimes it is hard to believe that it has only been 12 years and on the other hand it seems just like yesterday that we fell in love.

He is a keeper and I am glad I had a best friend to spend the eternities with! LOVE YOU BABE!

We all had a fun time in St. George for Grandma's 60th surprise party and don't forget we got to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY with all the Sampson cousins. The kids couldn't get enough of each other, they played from sun up till sun down. You can never get enough water fun when you hit St. George, we did plenty of that and we all had a great time, Thanks Shaun and Mickel for hosting the GREAT party!
