HOPPY Easter, 2011

We went camping this past Easter weekend. We had a great time, even though we had a few chilly nights. Thank heavens for our heater and our hot showers. Even though the weather was chilly we were still able to pack a whole lot of fun into our weekend. We decorated Easter eggs, we had the easter bunny come and hide baskets with plenty of treats, we got to fly our new kites, we were able to have an easter egg hunt in the hills, rolled easter eggs down the white sand dunes, MANY, MANY wiffle ball games, sat by the campfire, roasted s'mores, told ghost stories, sang songs, went on hikes, and the boys were able to get there 1st rabbit. (I know, DISGUSTING & dreadful for most, unless your a 10 and an 8 year old BOY then it is AWESOME!)

Even Scott got into flying the kites! He was a big help to get ALL 3 kids kites in the air!


Sadie loved flying the kites. It was a perfect day for flying kites, just enough wind to get them up. All 3 kites in the air= SUCCESS in my book! We didn't even get a tangle.

EASTER Camping is a fun, family tradition we started and the kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It is a lot of work, but the kids think it is the best thing we could ever do together as a family. So I must carry on and live the life and the EASTER tradition.

SPRING Camping Trip 2011

Scott got a little SPRING fever and decided we should pull out the trailer and do an early SPRING camping trip. I gave in and we headed out. The first night was beautiful 65 degree weather and we were able to enjoy the outdoors, we went on ranger rides, we played a game of baseball we sat by the fire and looked at the stars. It was so nice to be outside enjoying nature again. The next day was pretty and pleasant also 70 degrees. Scott pulled out the .22 and the Shotgun and was patient and let us each shoot at a target. The kids thought that was great, even little Sadie. We played and played, it was wonderful being out in the WARM SUN. It was conference weekend so we listened to conference. Scott went into town and went to the Priesthood session. That left me and the 3 kids out camping. We were having a great time until the rain started falling. The rain just kept on coming down, harder and harder. The boys kept attempting to make a fire for us but the rain quickly put it out each time. We decided to head indoors for some family fun. We decided to make the most of it and we roasted S'MORES over the open stove fire. They tasted great and kept the kids entertained (for a short moment). We played UNO a few times, we colored and then we were bored and decided to take funny pictures. The kids were good sports and had fun trying out different poses, while I tried to capture each one. Scott returned and we fed him dinner and snuggled up to a nice family movie. We went to bed, slept great and woke up to 5 or 6 inches of SNOW, YES SNOW!!! WOW! we were surprised! It was a icky , wet, muddy mess! I was cussing SCOTT'S SPRING FEVER. I guess SPRING in UTAH, you have to be ready for all weather types.













We got all cleaned up, headed home, CLEANED AND CLEANED some more. We all got showered up and cuddle up to watch the rest of conference. I love Conference weekend and always want to be a better person after being spiritualy fed.
It was a wonderful weekend, (minus the snow) and it was SUPER great being together as a family.
