He's Moving On!

Wow, McKade is moving on from pre-school and going to start kindergarten this fall. He had a wonderful pre-school this year and he really enjoyed every minute of it. The graduation ceremony was cute, they each had their name read and the teacher told some cute little unique thing about each child. Mckades was he was always on task and the best at playing football and baseball.

We love McKade. He is truly a joy in our family. He keeps me humble and makes me smile and giggle each day.

McKade broke down after the graduation was over. I couldn't get him to tell me why he was sad. Finally when we got home he said, Mom, I was sad today because I don't want to go to kindergarten, I am just going to stay little forever.
Mom and Dad wish that was possible buddy.

We love you and are so proud of ALL your accomplishments in school this past year. Have a Fun Summer and Good Luck in kindergarten.

This is a picture at home, after the graduation where Kade said he does not want to go to kindergarten, he is just going to stay little forever.

What a face!

The Secret Waterfall

My brother took us on a drive and in the middle of nowhere we pulled off and hiked into this most beautiful waterfall. The boys all decided they were going to jump. My sister-in-law and I were a little nervous but there were a few men that had jumped before us and we really had no control anyway!

Scott, Mitchell, Doug, Easton and Dawson all decided to take the plunge. We closed our eyes and prayed for the best!

All and All it was awesome, but we did find out the hard way that Sadie gets car sick! That was the only down part on the trip!

A Vacation to Remember!

ALOHA!

We have just returned from our family trip to Maui and I think I am a little depressed. It was wonderful and I can hardly believe we are back and I am back to doing all the mom things, (cleaning, cooking, laundry and fighting kids).

It was a perfect vacation and so wonderful to be able to be with my brother Doug and his wife and 3 boys. Everyone asks how it was, and I say it was Hawaii what is there not to LOVE! Usually I get homesick after a week, but since we had our kids with us Scott and I both thought we could handle another week or so.

It was a vacation we will always remember!

can you say SLIMY?

OK here is the story. Mitchell has been reading the Guinness Book of World Records. He came home the other day and said, Mom do you think it would be hard to keep 7 snails on your face at once? I replied, no but it would definitely be Gross and very slimy! I asked why? He told me in the Guinness Book of World Records a boy from the UK kept 7 snails on his face, and he knew he could beat that easy!

So tonight I am trying to make dinner and Kade comes running in and tells me to get the camera Mitchell is putting snails on his face. I go outside and sure enough he has gathered 8 snails from the yard. I am not talking your normal, little run of the mill snail, these things are huge and they are crawling or should I say sucking to his face. It was a lot harder than he thought. It took a lot of patience on his part. They kept falling off, about 1 hour later he had finally got all 8 to suction to his face. They were in his ears, on his eyes and even one went on his lip!

I got Scott and he said, Nat he is your kid! We all got a big laugh and Mitchell is stoked because he thinks he holds the new record for the most snails on a kids face at one time! He definitely got SLIMED and said he actually thought it was COOL! GO figure!

THINK BLUE!

Go Dodgers! It's baseball season again. The boys love the games. Sadie and I enjoy them, but it is truly a lot of work to have Sadie there at the games for 9 innings or sometimes more. We try to keep her occupied with dancing to the music, waving to everyone in the stands and a tons and tons of snacks! She does pretty well for her age.
The boys think the Dodgers Dogs are to die for. They could probably eat three each, but we have to limit them to two and I always bring in plenty of snacks from the outside. Getting snacks at these games could break the bank, if you know what I mean!

The boys were also stoked because they were giving out JOE TORRE bobble heads at the door. Mitchell thinks he now is going to start collecting bobble heads. I guess it's a good goal! They love when they hand out FREE things at the door.

wEeKeNd GeTaWaY!

We thought we needed a little getaway so we headed down to Newport Beach for the weekend. We had a wonderful time. The kids love the beach and Scott and I love Newport Beach! It was so fun and relaxing, we actually got our own little personaly dolphin show about 25 feet in front of us! The spinner dolphins were jumping, diving and even flipping right in front of us. It was so amazing!

We were able to stay at the beach for 4 hours. The weather was perfect, Sadie fell asleep and the boys were digging a huge whole and Scott and I were just there soaking up the beautiful view and a few rays, of course. Scott looked at me and said, " It doesn't get much better than this". I agreed. (not to often does sadie fall asleep at the beach, it was HEAVEN.)

We headed home and stopped off in L.A. for a Dodger's game. They won! It was a fun, relaxing getaway for the whole Fam.

Piggies & Lillie's!

I finally got Sadie to hold still long enough to get two piggy tails in! I was so excited! Her hair is getting long and I don't know if I like it or not! Boy hair is just so easy, I am not used to this girl hair stuff, it takes so much time and effort and I try so hard and I still can't get her ponytails straight. One day it will come and then she probably won't let me touch her hair anymore.

My Lillie's finally bloomed the other day! I was so excited! I decided to take a few pictures with Sadie with the Lillie's. I am glad I did. I got to enjoy the Lillie's for a day and then Mckade found them and cut the bloom off with his pocket-knife!

I love kids! They make me smile and cry each day! I am truly grateful for both!

Which Way To The BEACH?

The weather finally was warm enough to go to the beach for the 1st time this year! It was 75 degress, What a BEAUTIFUL day. We all had so much fun! Sadie is finally at a age where she likes the beach and she loves to play with the sand and not eat it! The boys stayed busy building sand castles and were also brave enough to try boogie boarding in the FREEZING COLD WATER! (kade did not last long) I felt the water and it felt like it just came off a glacier from up North, & Scott thought the same! The boys tried to talk Scott into boogie boarding with them, he almost ran out of excuses why he could not get into the water! WE LOVE THE BEACH, but the cleaning-up part when you get home, AHHHHHHH! You have SAND in EVERYTHING:}
