Sunny San Diego

We headed down to San Diego last weekend for a little get away and of course the BYU game. We had a great time together, even though the weather was a little rainy a couple of the days. We had fun just hanging out together.

One day we rented the 4 wheel bike for the whole fam! Well that was fun, until Sadie decided she needed to sit on my lap and Kade thought he could put his foot down to stop. Little did he know that Scott and Mitchell were still peddling and he got a pretty good scrape. OUCH!

We went up to La Jolla to see the San Diego temple! Wow, that temple is truly amazing. We also got lucky and were able to see Sea Lions sun bathing on the shoreline.

Mitchell was in seventh heaven when we went down to some tide pools and he was able to explore. Of course he found hermit crabs and begged and begged for us to let him take them home as pets. Finally after alot of negotiating he talked us into letting him keep two. We were driving around San Diego trying to find a petco or some pet shop that would carry hermit crab food. And when we went to dinner he had to get a "TOGO" box to keep the hermit crabs in.

We also got to go to the BYU/San Diego basketball game. It was fun and very exciting. The fans of San Diego were very rude to say the least. I wish we could have WON just to put them in there place and show San Diego who the real winners ARE!

We all and all had a wonderful time and enjoyed the little weekend get-away!

P.S. Mitchell's hermit crabs died. NO MORE PETS!

A FUN FAMILY GATHERING!

My parents and grandmother flew in for the weekend to get away from ALL the snow in UTAH! We had such a fun and relaxing time together. We did a whole lot of nothing. We just relaxed, put together 3 jigsaw puzzles and chatted a whole bunch, and of course ate a lot of yummy food.

Kade and Mitchell even got there 85 year old Grandma Great to play the Wii with them. She is a good sport! And she really enjoyed playing golf on the Wii.

The time always goes by way to quick when we are together, but I am gratful for my wonderful family and glad they took time out of there busy schedules to come and visit SUNNY CALIFORNIA for the weekend.

SAY, CHEESE MOM!

I have been trying to capture some cute pictures of Sadie, because she is growing up so fast. I was taking pictures the other day and the only way I could get her to sit and look at me is if she had a camera of her own. I would say, "say cheese SADIE," and she would look at me, put the camera on her head, and say, "CHEESE MOM!" I just had to laugh. She is also trying to juggle holding her doll at the same time as the camera. She's all GIRL and already multitasking at this young age. We lover her, and she brings smiles to our face each day!:}

MAN ALIVE, LOOKS WHO'S 5!

McKade is now the big 5 years old and ready for Kindergarton. He had a wonderful birthday and he loved every minute of it. His birthday requests were pretty simple. He wanted a new bike, to go bolwing with the family at a bowling alley, pizza for dinner and a BYU jersey cake for his birthday cake. He is sooo much fun to have around the house and keeps me smiling & on my toes each and every day!
Happy Birthday Kade we love you!

Wii, Wii, Wii all the way home!

Scott broke down and bought the family a Wii. I have to tell you it is soooooo much fun. We have all become hooked and are holding family bowling tournaments every night! The boys new goal is to beat MOM, I am now ranked as a professional (who knew?) Mckade is a our little Wii boy. He loves golf and is always telling me he is just working on his GAME! He got an eagle today and boy was he proud. We are all having fun and enjoying the new Family toy in our home.

wHaT A tOoThLeSs GrIn!

Mitchell's top two teeth are now gone. This is the day Scott and I have not been looking forward to. I am sorry, but they go through such an awkward stage when they are loosing teeth and growing BIG new ones in that they don't quite fit into yet. He still looks pretty cute and he was so excited for these TWO teeth to fall out. He is all about the tooth fairy because he receives $$$ he is all about earning and saving money so he is already looking forward for the rest to fall out :}

Nothing like a HOT Christmas Eve!

This years Christmas Eve was sooo different from our normal Snowy, Cold Christmas Eve's we have had in the past. Since we live in So Cal, we decided we would go sit in the hot tub as a family before we enjoyed our Fondue and Chocolate Fountain we had planned for our Christmas Eve dinner. The hot tub was fun and the kids thought it was so funny to be sitting in the hot tub on Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful time together and made a fun memory together to last a lifetime.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Utah was wonderful but a little on the chilly side. The boys loved every minute they were able to spend in the snow. On our way driving to Utah, Mitchell couldn't wait to touch the snow. We finally stopped for gas in Nephi and Mitchell and Kade jumped out and both got enough to make a snowball to throw at Scott. (Scott did not like that) They thought the snow was a winter wonderland. Scott on the other hand thought the snow was sooo cold and he didn't know if he was going to make it or not. He was like a 70 year old grandpa. You would think that he has lived in California his whole life and never lived where it snowed! We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed our time with our Family!

Finally Here!

The anticipated day has finally arrived and I am not talking about Christmas! I am talking about NURSERY! YEAH! Sadie is officially 18 months old and I can hardly believe it. She is a handful and trying to keep her entertained at church or the dreaded sitting quietly(yeah right)on my lap up front with Relief Society is now over! She has been going for the last 3 weeks and is not really quite sure that she likes it. Last week she made it the whole way through, not without a few tears and falling asleep half-way through, but she was not with me (poor nursery leaders, they are definitely celestial beings.) and that was a great thing for both of us. This is a huge milestone that I know ALL mothers look forward to!
