SAMPSON'S HIT THE SLOPES!

Scott and I decided to hit the slopes with the kids.  The day was perfect!  It was chilly but the sun was out and we had a fabulous day. Sadie spent the day in Ski school and has now graduated and will be skiing with the family from here on out.
Scott and I had a blast and spent our time trying to keep up with our BOYS!
Meeting Sadie for lunch!  We were a little chilly and it was fun to pick her up and spend an hour with her for lunch before she headed back to class.  She loved every minute of ski school and can't wait until she gets to hit the BIG MOUNTAIN with the family!
WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER!

Kade trying to get a little air off a jump he found coming out of the trees!
We all had a wonderful time and loved being out on the mountain together as a family!
I think this picture tells it all.  Sadie gave it her all and she was pooped, she was out before we even got her out of the parking lot.  KADE snuggled her and tried to warm her up!
WE LOVE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING!

Silent Night!

I was trying to capture of few good pictures of the kiddos for a Christmas Card.  It was bigger chore than I was anticipating.  We only took pictures for about 5 min in the basement, I was sweating by the time we were done and my patients was GONE!  They look all Innocent in a few of these pictures but the bottom few shows basically how the 5 minute photo shoot went. Finally I told them I would make their favorite treat for them if they would work with me and give me one good photo.  That is when I decided to put tape on the their mouth and my Christmas card was invented:

Mitchell thinking his mom is crazy!

Kade trying to make me SMILE!  It worked!
SILENT NIGHT!
I really needed some duct tape, but of course somebody had used it all so blue painters tape had to do.  They were very good sports and it ended up turning out great!

This is how 4 minutes of the shoot went it felt like 2 hours!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2012!

A SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was SPOOKTACULAR this year.  I think the weather made a huge difference.  Halloween is always a whirlwind for moms, but the kids loved every minute of it.
Sadie so excited to finally CARVE her pumpkin!  We let her do it all by herself and she couldn't have been more excited!
Mitchell and Sadie hard at work, carving and gutting their
PUMPKINS!  WHERE IS KADE?
Mitchell excited to carve a Mickey Mouse in his perfect pumpkin!
KADE will not be happy about this picture, I am doing it for journaling purposes.  KADE DOES NOT LIKE TO GUT THE PUMPKIN OUT!  We made him do it,  our family motto is:
WE CAN DO HARD THINGS!
from  the picture he thinks it is the worst.  He will look back and laugh one day.
Now that the pumpkins is gutted, KADE if just fine!  Oh the drama of carving pumpkins!
The kids each did their very own, and they all turned out wonderful!!!
Kade did an Underarmor pumpkin, Sadie did an Spooky pumpkin and Mitchell pulled off Mickey!
Sadie, Addie and Emery all looked SPOOKTACULAR!

Sadie was a very BEAUTIFUL witch!  This was at her school parade!

This year my kids made it easy on me.  I really had no makeup at all!  That is my kind of Halloween. Mitchell and Kade got really creative and decided to be football players.  Sadie a Wicked Witch!

Boulder Mountain Camping

We were able to take the kids camping over fall break. We went with our cousins and we had a fabulous time.  The weather was very interesting, but we managed to survive.
This is the first night we arrives in the boulder mountains.  The skies were gray, the air was chilly, but we bundled up the kids and went on ranger rides and did a little fishing.
Sadie and Bo, trying to be patient and catch a big one!
This is the weather we woke up to the next morning!  SNOW!  We knew it was going to be cold and maybe rain, but SNOW!  We were not prepared.  The kids thought it was wonderful and did not let the snow stop them from going out and having a great time.

Since we were there to go fishing, we decided to  bundle up and make the most of it!
IT WAS FREEZING!  When we got on top of the mountain, their was a good 12 foot of snow.

DOUG & ANGIE on the ranger.
Tobin was all snuggled up and even managed to sleep somehow.
Sadie was to COLD, to take pictures.  Notice Mitchell in the background. He went out hunting for fire wood to make a fire to help us try to stay warm.
The boys did get a fire, but we still froze so we decided to head back to camp, get warm and watch a video in the trailer.
The next day, the snow had melted at camp.  All but this ONE big snowball the kids had made the day before.  It kept these 3 little ones busy for hours.
Sadie doing a little icesculpting with a saw!
Saide, Bo and Tobin hard at work!
This was the weather our last day!  WHAT???? Where has this weather been all week?  It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  We could have stayed here for another week!
Sadie posing by the little, peaceful creek!
Sadie, Bo and Tobin
Sadie trying out her homemade fishing pole.  She was so patient!
She evens baits her own HOOK!!  WHAT A WOMAN!
This was like a little piece of HEAVEN.
We had a wonderful and an adventurous  camping trip to say the least.  We love spending time together in the GREAT OUTDOORS!
Until next year.
