Marvelous & Magnificent Maui

Scott I were fortunate enough to go and spend the week in Maui for a week with his work. Maui is never a let down and we were able to enjoy ourselves completely. I got to meet a lot of people from Scott's work that I had heard about but never really met. I always like to put a face with a name. We did a fun day hike up to some hidden waterfalls and I even got up the courage to jump off. Then we went kayaking and snorkeled on a beautiful reef where we swam with over 20 sea turtles. The weather was absolutely beautiful and it was just a fabulous trip all around.

Scott and I went on a 4 mile walk to a hidden breakfast hideaway and it was complete with macadamia nut pancakes and coconut syrup, eggs, hash browns and fresh squeezed orange juice. It was wonderful breakfast, but we were a little tired and hung out on this hammock for an hour on the way home. ( rough life, I know)

This was our view from our breakfast table, with a beautiful rainbow to boot.

One of the the hidden waterfalls we were able to hike up to. The water was chilly, but once your body was numb it was perfect.

Me having the courage to actually get in the freezing cold water and actually jump off the cliff. It seemed so much higher once I climbed up to the top, but that was the only way down. Not so bad, but I didn't do it again.

We love Hawaii and never get bored of all it has to offer. We are truly grateful for our brother and sister in law who willingly watched the kiddos while we were away.

A SUPER SPOOKTACULAR Halloween

Halloween this year could not have been better. The weather was PERFECT and the kids all had a great time and got plenty of Treats and Tricks to last all year. We started off the day with the School Parade, then each kid had a classroom party with lots of spooky fun, then we had a neighborhood get together at our house before heading out trick or treating for the night. It was a fun, filled day full of halloween activities,

Sadie counting all of her TREATS!

The boys trying to look cool in there SCARY sports gear! ( they always go way out on Halloween)

Sadie could have not made a cuter cowgirl! I loved it, it was a easy, comfortable costume with no make-up! That is my kind of costume.

Sadie and her best friend Lilly! All ready to go get some treats!

The kids LOVE halloween, they love picking out there own pumpkins and carving them to there liking. Kade does not like to touch the pumpkin innards, but he did this year and it was a huge accomplishment for him. Sadie and Mitchell dig right in and love every minute of the whole process.
We are grateful for a fun, and warm Halloween, because the next day a huge winter storm blew in.
Halloween 2011 was SUPER SPOOKTACULAR!

Goofing around @ Grandma Greats in Glenwood!

We decided to head south for one last bit of Fall Fun before winter sets in. We camped out at Scott grandma's house. The kids love it there. It is a small town with lots of open space for the kids to explore and just be kids. We went on rides on the ranger, we fished, we played games and went into Richfield for nightly treats.

Granpa Max has an old tractor the kids like to pretend to drive and we took a few pictures on this "cool" tractor that they ALL love so much.

The kiddos hanging out on the fence of the horse pasture.

Glenwood is such a small home town. It is super peaceful there and it helps you to slow down the pace of our crazy life and enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer. The kids love it there and hope someday we can live in a place as cool as Glenwood.

Bonding in the Boulder Mountains

Over Fall Break we decided to head south for the last few days of fall fun. We camped at our Grandma Greats house and then drove down to the boulder mountains for some fall fishing. It was a beautiful fall day and the fishing was GREAT! We fished up at Cook's lake, which is a little hidden lake up in the Boulder Mountains. We had to drive there in our ATV, we were able to enjoy a beautiful, ride up to the lake.

Here is Scott giving Kade a little instruction on how to fly fish.

Sadie and Dad giving a BIG SMILE for the camera.
Sadie took advantage of the warm weather and decided to fly her Barbie kite, while the boys fished.

Sadie wanted to take a picture of Scott and I. I think she actually got a pretty great shot of Scott and I.

Sadie just hanging out by the lake and having fun!

The 3 boys trying to be patient while waiting for ALL the fish to bite.

Mitchell was super excited to try out the float tube. He did a great job and thought it was super fun and relaxing/

Scott trying to show Sadie the BIG fish he just caught.

Sadie playing in the water and singing songs.

Family Hike!

This past weekend we ventured up American Fork canyon for a fall family camping trip and a family hike! The weather was cool and crisp and the mountains were beautiful. We decided to take a family hike up to Scout Falls and see the waterfalls. It was a fun, relaxing hike and we were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Mitchell's 11th Birthday!

Mitchell is a pride and joy to have in our family! Scott and I can hardly believe that it has been 11 years since I delivered this 10.2 lb healthy baby boy. He is truly an amazing kid and we all learn from him each day. He is growing up to be a fine young man and we couldn't be prouder in the decisions he is making in his life. He is a great big brother and an excellent son. We love you and are excited about what the future has in store for you.

All Mitchell wanted was a homemade strawberry pie! He loves him some good strawberry pie!

Mitchell still gets excited about BIRTHDAY presents!

Sadie and Kade helping with the BLOWING OUT of the CANDLES! We had to redo it twice so Mitchell could blow out his own candles.

The 3 of them SO excited for the BIRTHDAY!

Mitchell chose to have a nice steak dinner at home with the family. We had steak, corn on the cob, russet potatoes (mitchell requested russet, what 11 year old boy knows the brand of potato they like?, MITCHELL Does!) watermelon, and strawberry pie for dessert. Mitchell is a meat and potato kind of guy through and through.
Scott had to be out of town for his birthday so we celebrated the day before and Scott checked Mitchell out and they went on a lunch date. He said he a fantastic birthday.

We LOVE YOU MITCHELL and we are so glad we get to be your parents!
